BACK-TO-SCHOOL (PET PROJECT)- Little miss Globe
The Little Miss Globe Queen Pageant is an annual national beauty pageant organized by Studio A for young girls aged 5 to 13.
The pageant, in collaboration with existing agencies/child care organizations, raises awareness through organized social gatherings, media appearances, school seminars, and so on, cultivates preventive measures, and takes legal action when necessary, to ensure that the country's rate of child abuse is reduced.
In order to fulfill her purpose, the 2019/2020 Globe Queen, Queen Gift Okpeku, arranged a back-to-school (pet project) on January 12, 2020, where she delivered educational materials to children. the children in and around Surulere mainland, Lagos State
Mrs. Chidinma Eluwa, one of the guest speakers, delivered a speech on child abuse, which she defined as "any act or failure to act by a parent or caregiver that leads in actual or prospective harm to a kid, and can occur in a child's home, schools, or communities with which the child interacts." This type of child abuse can include physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.

She also stated that child abuse can be avoided by establishing a support-group framework to promote parenting practices and regularly monitor the child's well-being. A visiting home nurse or social worker is also necessary to watch and evaluate the child's progress and the caretaking environment. Children's school programs about "good touch, bad touch" can also aid in the prevention of child abuse by providing a venue for children to role-play and learn how to avoid potentially dangerous events.
Little Miss Globe Queen expressed her appreciation to God for the success of the outreach. She emphasized the need of remembering that "one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world."
School bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, stockings, pens, pencils, and rulers were distributed to a total of 120 students. The children expressed their appreciation for the present.
